0Live Exhibit at Flying Colors Butterfly Festival
The Chattahoochee Nature Center is opening a new live butterfly exhibit as part of the annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 13 and noon to 5 p.m., 14, and will keep it open until July 31. Visitors can get nose to proboscis with hundreds of free-flying, native butterfly species in this temporary live butterfly exhibit. The live exhibit is open each day from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is included with general admission. Butterfly host and nectar plants will be available for sale.
The Flying Colors Butterfly Festival fills the air with the beating wings of hundreds of beautiful butterflies as they are released along with live music; photography and entomology exhibits; arts and crafts; plus face painting for lots of fun. Kids can wear their butterfly costumes and march in the butterfly parades held each day.
