Enjoy Laughter Yoga in East Rutherford

The East Rutherford Memorial Library will offer a free laughter yoga sessions from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., January 5 and 19. The classes are led by Deepak Shah,  a pioneer in the discipline of laughter yoga, which involves prolonged, voluntary laughter. The modality is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides some of the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter.

Laughter has been proven to positively impact high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, asthma, and bronchitis. It is also a stress-buster and fosters anti-aging. It strengthens the immune system and is known to be a natural painkiller. Laughter can make us feel good and improve interpersonal relationships. No mat is needed, and registration is not required.
